Roughsawn Posts & Beams

In addition to our range of recycled construction beams, bridge beams, salvaged posts and wharf timbers, Timberzoo also stocks durable sawn GOS hardwoods in a range of common sizes. The most common species are Ironbark, Forest Red Gum, Grey Box and Spotted Gum (ACQ) sourced from farm forestry. For convenience, we supply this group of timbers as S3 (Strength Group 3) and F14 (visual-stress grading) as a minimum standard. This is adequate for outdoor structures such as pergolas, as well as lightly-loaded elements of residential buildings. All these species are DC1 - Durability Class 1 - as supplied, and can be used in-ground as posts or exposed to weather outdoors with a life expectancy in service in excess of 25 years.
